Organization: Drogheda City Now (DCN)
Role: Digital Marketing Resident
Duration: 3 Months (Voluntary / Work Experience)
Commitment: 10–15 Hours per week (Remote with weekly in-person catch-ups in Drogheda)
The Mission
Drogheda City Now is on a mission to put Drogheda City on the map! We are looking for self-starting, creative students to take the reins of our digital presence. You won't just be "posting"—you’ll be building a brand, promoting local businesses, and hitting real growth targets.
The Challenge: "Mission 500" 🚀
Your primary goal? Secure 500 new membership sign-ups via social media in your first 50 days. You will be the voice of the city, managing:
Social Platforms: FB, Instagram, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
Major Campaigns: The upcoming Drogheda Shopping Festival, Sound Town Nights, and local business spotlights.
Web Management: Keeping our website fresh, updated, and SEO-friendly.
What You’ll Be Doing
Content Creation: Shooting and editing high-energy video (Reels/TikToks) and designing graphics in Canva.
Copywriting: Crafting punchy, SEO-driven captions and newsletter updates.
AI Integration: Utilizing AI tools to streamline content production and stay ahead of tech trends.
Community Growth: Engaging with followers and local businesses to build a "Drogheda City" movement.
Requirements
Skills: Proficiency in Canva, video editing, and social media trends.
Language: Strong English language proficiency (written and verbal).
Mindset: A "self-starter" attitude. We provide the brief and training; you provide the spark.
Location: Mostly remote, but you must be able to attend weekly in-person meetings in Drogheda.
What’s In It For You?
While this is a voluntary role, we provide a high-value "exit package" for your career:
LinkedIn Recommendation: A personalized endorsement from the DCN team.
Experience Letter: A formal document detailing your achievements (great for CVs!).
Professional Reference: We will act as a job reference for your future career moves.
Training: Hands-on guidance on digital strategy and AI tools.
Portfolio Building: Real-world data to show future employers (e.g., "I grew a city-wide membership by 500 in 50 days").
